It all started with a series of messages from my bank: Citibank.

... I should have moved my money long ago, but in the distant past before Citibank became Citigroup, it was my friendly little neighborhood bank...

...[W]hen I made plans to move to Norway...if your money is in a small bank, it has to be sent to a big bank like Citibank or Chase to wire it to you when you need it, which meant I was trapped anyway.

... [T]he first thing I noticed was that one of those wires with money I needed never arrived. When I politely inquired, Citibank told me that the transaction hadn’t gone through.

“... [S]omeone in the U.S. government who specializes in finding terrorists seems to have found me and laid a heavy hand on my bank account.”

If ever somebody wanted to know the definition of a government ‘black hole’, all they would have to do is read this. Considering the ‘turf wars’ inherent in government agencies, it’s amazing this person actually got any answers at all.

I would not recommend riding in a car with him either.

I'm pretty much speechless at this point, but I have heard that our government has in the past targeted activists & journalists so I guess this isn't too far out of the realm of possibility.

It's another example of big money using the government as a proxy muscle man.

That's basically what the cops are, too.

But things are beginning to change....

I'll say this for him, he's one of the more talented writers I've read in a long time. Had me gripped the whole time and left me wanting to read more.

I'd like to read more also but I'd have nightmares but then that's what our government wants -- blind obedience and never question authority. Also remember, this is done in the name of National Security.
